		<description>Dave, I think you missed an obvious one here. Blade both predates Vampire Hunter D, and, with the movies, I&#039;d say he was more popular. Blade was created by comic  veteran Marv Wolfman in Marvel Comics TOMB OF DRACULA #10 (July 1973). Although Blade doesn&#039;t really fit your scenario. He was the son of a woman bitten by a vampire during pregnancy.

I think you also missed the TV series Angel. Connor is the child of two vampires, Angel and Darla. Again, not strictly a Dhampir, as he is not the child of both a human and a vampire, he does display the strength and endurance of a vampire without the traditional weaknesses of one, much like a Dhampir.</description>
